Frederick Douglass Plaque Dedication

The Fred Douglass Elementary PTO presented and dedicated a plaque on Friday, February 21, 2020 in recognition of Black History Month.  The PTO generously donated a plaque outlining who and what Frederick Douglass fought and stood for in education.  The history of the original campus in Jacksonville prior to integration named after Fred Douglass is detailed on the plaque.

The Fred Douglass High School Classes of 1961 and 1970 also were present and donated many wonderful books to the Fred Douglass Elementary library about Fred Douglass and many other books pertaining to Black History month.

The special plaque will hand in the entry of Fred Douglass Elementary.
