A student 15 years of age or older shall be excused for one day during his or her enrollment in high school for each of the following:

• Visiting a driver’s license office to obtain a learner license;
• Visiting a driver’s license office to obtain a driver’s license.
   

Students must submit a completed Verification of Absence to Obtain a Learner License or Driver’s License form to the High School Attendance Office no later than two days after the first day the student returns to school.

Students may provide documentation by:

1. Submitting a completed Verification of Absences to Obtain a Learner License or Driver’s License form and attaching the Texas Learner’s License or Texas Driver’s License; OR
2. Providing a copy of the Texas Learner License or Texas Driver’s License documentation and the campus clerk will complete the Verification of Absence to Obtain a Learner License or Driver’s License form.
