Hey JHS! Today we're looking at Microsoft Teams and completing your Term 4 Packet for the end of the school year. So when you log into Teams through Office 365 and you see all the classes that you have available, choose the class that you're wanting to work with and click on it. When I click on my class I see that my teacher has left assignments and they're showing in the general tab of my team. I can click on assignments at the top of this page and open up my assignment choices. Today I'm looking at the Term 4 AP Biology packet. I click on that assignment and it opens up to show the instructions from my teacher along with all reference materials available to me to complete this assignment. I'm going to work through all of these documents and explain them to you. The cover sheet simply gives the cover sheet to the Term 4 packet along with office hours and contact information for your teacher. The rubric is a grading scale that your teacher will use to assess your Term 4 Packet work. Down at the bottom you can see that I have the Term 4 Packet which is the actual paper copy students are receiving in paper form. But since we are working digitally, you have the ability to open it up as well. I'm going to click on that and show you what it looks like. When I click on that document it opens up in Microsoft online for Word. I'm going to choose the accessibility mode and that pulls up my document. I see the questions that my teacher has left me and I see the rubric at the bottom. I could, if I wanted to, answer my questions directly in this document by clicking on Edit Document and I'm going to edit it in the browser. I'm going to choose that option. That keeps it in the cloud and saves it directly to my OneDrive. This way my teacher and I both share this document and we can see the work together. So I can leave any notes and any comments in this document keeping track of my learning. So once I have worked through all of the document, the Term 4 Packet answering all the questions and all parts of it. This Term 4 Packet has 3 parts along with an essay at the end so as a student you can choose to answer this on your own notebook paper, but since you guys are working digitally and you have the option to access Word online you might consider typing answers directly into the document. If that's not an option for you if you are working on a cell phone then write your answers down and have them available so that you can put them into the form to submit your answers to your teacher. The form or the quiz is located under the T4 responses link. When I click here it opens up to the Microsoft forms quiz that my teacher has created for me to complete for the grading of the Term 4 Packet. I can work through all the questions answering each question and this quiz also has sections. Here's part 2 and finally part 3 which is the personal essay. Once I have constructed all of my answers and completely answered questions 1 through 16, I am ready to submit my quiz. When I submit it's going to give me a message but I need to make it really clear that you guys know submitting your form or your quiz is not the final step once I've submitted my form or quiz, I'm going to go back to Microsoft Teams. And at that point I'm going to Turn In my assignment. My teacher will be notify and she or he will be able to review my answers choices and my written responses and grade me using the rubric for this packet. So I'm going to click Turn In and I get a nifty little graphic showing me that I have turned in my work and then I know that I'm ready to go on to my next class and complete my next Term 4 Packet for that teacher. If you have any questions reach out to your teachers. They are available through the contact line, the helpline, beginning Monday May 4th. You can also email your teacher. All of their cover sheets have their contact and email information provided directly there for you. So don't hesitate. We're really proud of you guys! You've worked hard and we know this has been a difficult situation but you guys have stuck in there and held it together and worked really hard and we just want to finish the year strong. So go for it - and do your best work - and I hope you guys have a great end to the 19 - 20 school year.
